Copyleaks AI checks if writing is AI-made. Many tools now write emails or blogs using AI. It’s often hard to tell if a human or AI wrote a piece.
There’s worry about AI writing. Google dislikes it because it lacks fresh ideas and offers nothing special to readers or search engines.

To tackle this, some companies created tools to spot AI-written content. These tools are quite good at identifying if a machine or a human wrote something.
We examined the Copyleaks AI detection tool. We tested it with text from both humans and Chat GPT.
How Does the Copyleaks AI Tool Work?

Copyleaks AI acts like a detective. It can check if AI or a human wrote something.
Here’s how you use it:
– Put your writing into the tool.
– Click to start the scan.
– Check the score to see if it’s original.
With many good AI writings, can this tool really tell? Let’s try it and find out!
Testing Time
We checked Copyleaks AI:
-10 articles by me.
-10 pieces by ChatGPT.
First, let’s look at my articles.
Testing My Articles
I used Copyleaks to check parts of my blog. After each test, Bypass Engine noted if its guess was right or wrong.
The best outcome? The tool should recognize that I wrote all these articles.

Is Copyleaks AI Tool Reliable?
Testing with just 10 writing samples isn’t much. For better results, we need to test more.
We’ve found that the AI detector can make mistakes. So, you can’t always trust Copyleaks AI results.
But not everyone needs a perfect tool. Some just want the AI detector to make AI content seem more human.
Testing AI-Written Articles
Many writers use these tools to make AI writings seem more human-like.
That’s why we should check how well Copyleaks AI works with AI-written articles.
Bypass Engine tested 10 AI writings with the tool. Here’s what happened.

How Well Does Copyleaks Find ChatGPT Writing?
When you use ChatGPT, Copyleaks AI might catch it half the time. We only checked 10 pieces. To know more, we should test more.
If it misses 5 out of 10, it doesn’t seem very reliable.
Can We Trick Copyleaks AI?
Let’s try something fun! We’ll take an AI-written text, tweak it a bit, and see if Copyleaks gets tricked. Let’s test it out!

Test 1: What Happens If We Drop a Comma? Simple answer: Removing one comma fooled the tool.
Bypass Engine tested some AI writing checkers, and a small change can trick them. For example, a tiny mistake or one change can make the checker think it’s human writing.
That’s not great. A small edit shouldn’t cause such a big change.
Now, let’s see what happens if we lose the comma after “Additionally”:

Make a small change: Remove a comma, and the tool thinks a person wrote it.
Test 2: Try a Mistake Quick summary: Leaving out one letter changes how the tool sees it.
What if we skip a letter in AI text?
Just drop the “i” from “their”:

Oops, made a mistake! Funny thing, the tool believes a person wrote it, not an AI.
Test 3: AI Changes Words
Simply put: AI changed the writing, and the detector got confused.
Let’s check what happens when we use an AI tool, Quillbot, to change the AI’s writing. Quillbot does it quickly, in just a few seconds.
Mixing words changes the text. It looks okay, but some parts sound robotic. You might guess that without a tool.
What happens if we check this with CopyLeaks AI? Let’s see.
Pros
– It’s Free: Anyone can use CopyLeaks AI without paying. Plus, it’s easy to use.
– Finds Human Writing: It’s pretty good at telling if a person wrote something, but not always right.
Cons
– Misses AI Writing: It doesn’t catch AI writing well. In my test, it missed half.
– Can Be Fooled: Change a letter, and it gets confused.
My Overall Take CopyLeaks AI isn’t great with newer AI writings, like ones from ChatGPT.
Many AI writing tools now use ChatGPT, and CopyLeaks can’t catch them all.
We’ve tried other checkers, but none work perfectly. Some are right 90% of the time, which isn’t enough.
In summary, try another tool like Originality.ai for better results.

Testing Copyleaks’ Effectiveness
Let’s find out how Copyleaks performs in practice. We’ll also compare it to another tool, Originality.ai, to see which is better.
AI Content Detection: Originality.ai vs Copyleaks – The Simple Breakdown
The Test We used seven texts from Jasper, a known AI writer. Our goal? See how well Originality.ai and Copyleaks could figure out it was AI work.

Both tools give a % score. The higher the score, the more sure they are that the text is from an AI.
What We Found Originality.ai was pretty confident (90% sure) for five of the seven texts being AI-written. They only missed once.
Copyleaks? They were only 100% sure about one text. For three of them, they almost thought people wrote them.
After comparing, Originality.ai seems better at spotting AI content.
